Join us for a session to discuss the breakthroughs, challenges and future of collaboration between International Justice Mission (IJM), Walmart.org and other organizations combating forced labor and trafficking in the Thai fishing and seafood industry. In its first two years, IJM Bangkok laid the foundation for a long-term regional anti-trafficking response that transcends national borders and is as agile and networked as the human traffickers operating along neighboring countries’ recruitment corridors. With a philanthropic investment from Walmart.org, the program works alongside local authorities as they investigate and prosecute forced labor crimes and provide holistic services and protection for survivors. To date, the program has supported unprecedented cross-border government collaboration that has led to trafficker convictions in both Thailand and Cambodia.
