Trevyr Lester is the Senior Buying Manager for Seafood at Walmart, responsible for frozen shrimp, shellfish and fresh seafood categories for Walmart stores in the United States. In her role, Trevyr drives the category strategy and plan execution by leading cross-functional team and supplier relationships, ensuring corporate sustainability goals are met by tracking and measuring the source fishery status. She also works with NGO and industry to help ensure the seafood sourcing strategy is aligned to corporate goals.
Trevyr joined Walmart in 2004 as a project manager in the food safety and security team with responsibility for researching food safety opportunities involving food laws and regulation and implementing a remedy system to improve store food safety compliance. Trevyr moved into the merchandising organization in 2006, achieving positions of increasing responsibility to drive the quality and responsible sourcing of seafood for Walmart.
Trevyr earned her undergraduate and master’s degree in Animal Science from University of Arkansas.
