John Connelly is President of the National Fisheries Institute, America’s leading trade association advocating for the full seafood supply chain. NFI manages the seafood industry’s public policy, communications, and reputation initiatives.
He has served on the Boards of the International Coalition of Fisheries Associations, Marine Stewardship Council, ALLFISH Board (a public-private partnership with the World Bank), International Seafood Sustainability Foundation, Marine Fisheries Advisory Council, and Seafood Industry Research Fund.
Connelly was a U.S. Naval Officer aboard ship and retired as a Navy Reserve Captain, with specializations in political-military affairs. He enjoys skiing and hiking from his family’s home in Ireland.
