Francisco Aldon is the General Manager of the IFFO RS Certification Programme for Marine Ingredients. He graduated from the Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina in Lima, Peru with a fisheries engineering degree before obtaining an MSc in Marine Ecology and Environmental Management from Queen Mary University of London.
Francisco has been leading the development of the IFFO RS Programme since January 2015. Francisco started working for IFFO as research associate with an administrative and scientific role for the organisation and the newly created certification programme. Now, the IFFO RS Standard is a globally recognised and independent certification programme with presence in more than 20 countries and represents almost 50% or the world production of marine ingredients.
