Liz Powell is an EVP at Edelman, a leading global communications marketing firm that partners with many of the world’s largest and emerging businesses and organizations, helping them evolve, promote and protect their brands and reputations. Edelman was awarded the Grand Prix Cannes Lion for PR in 2014; six Cannes Lions in 2015; and the Grand Prix in the Titanium category in 2016. The firm was named “2016 Global Agency of the Year” by the Holmes Report; one of Advertising Age’s “Agencies to Watch” in 2014; and one of Forbes’ “14 Most Influential Agencies of 2014”. As a 17-year Edelman Seattle veteran, Liz works with regional, national and global brands to create impactful campaigns that educate and inspire consumers to action. In her current role leading the consumer brand practice for the Pacific Northwest, Liz and her team of 35 + work with an array of consumer food CPG and commodity board clients including: Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute, California Walnuts, Charles Smith Wines, GloryBee, Kashi, Kellogg’s, Starbucks, Sunkist, Theo Chocolate, TreeTop and USA Pears, among others. Before her time at Edelman, Liz worked for Porter Novelli in Grenoble, France and the San Francisco Bay Area. Liz lives in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle with her husband, 10-year-old son and two German Shorthair Pointers. When not at work, Liz and her family are often found in the foothills of the North Cascades, working on developing a future farm/nature retreat.
