Colleen Coyne has provided market development assistance to the U.S. seafood industry for the past 38 years. Over the last 28 years, she has focused on assisting U.S. seafood firms to develop foreign markets. She began working with the seafood industry in 1982 as program coordinator at the Rhode Island Seafood Council. In 1991, she became executive vice president of the American Seafood Institute and later the Institute's executive director. Colleen has served as the seafood program coordinator at Food Export USA-Northeast since 2004 where she continues to focus on providing assistance to fish and shellfish suppliers seeking to develop or expand foreign markets.
Colleen graduated with a B.S. from the University of Rhode Island. Prior to serving the seafood industry, she worked as a research biologist at the University of Rhode Island, Graduate School of Oceanography and for the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management, Division of Fish & Wildlife.
