Biography

Birgitte Krogh-Poulsen has over 20 years' professional experience advancing human rights with a strong focus on the elimination of child labour and forced labour in various parts of the world and in different industries, including seafood. Birgitte has worked for the International Labour Organization (ILO) and as a consultant from her home country, Denmark, and has lived abroad for over ten years in India, Switzerland, Tanzania, Thailand and Zambia. She joined the BAP Standards Oversight Committee in 2015 and is committed to promoting socially sustainable seafood as an independent consultant.
