Delivering Trusted and Transparent Fishing Vessel Standards through Cost Effective Audits – Learnings from the Quayside and the Deck

With input from key industry stakeholders, this session will explore what constitutes a trusted and socially compliant fishing fleet, and what constitutes best practices for the risk assessment, auditing and engagement in improvement of labour standards. Through presentations and direct interaction with audience members, the participants will identify the learnings from the first steps in a Global Responsible Fishing Scheme and explore how fishing vessel certification can support the development of secure and trusted supply chains, and work in synergy with other solutions.
