“Where Did you Get That Fish?” – A New Trend for Transparency in the Seafood Industry

The session will explore the issue of transparency in the seafood industry and the benefits and challenges of openness around sustainable sourcing. The session will examine examples of reporting such as the Ocean Disclosure Project and the Seafood Stewardship Index, as well as the results of a landscape survey of corporate reporting initiatives. There will be reflections on the subject of transparency from both the seafood media and industry and the panel will also consider where the current trend for corporate reporting in seafood might be heading.
