First presented in 2006, the Seafood Champion Awards annually recognize individuals and companies for outstanding leadership in promoting environmentally responsible seafood. Seafood Choices established the award to honor those in the seafood industry whose past and/or present contributions demonstrate a commitment to innovation that leads to change. Seafood Champions exemplify outstanding contributions in the context of environmental, social, and economic sustainability, and advance the sustainable seafood movement above and beyond best practice.
Winners of the 2012 Seafood Champion Awards were presented at the 10th International Seafood Summit in Hong Kong.
