Can I get an invitation to visit the Summit in order to receive a visa?

We are unable to provide letters of invitation for the purpose of obtaining a visa for travel. We have been informed that a letter of invitation has no bearing on whether a visa will be issued. When applying for your visa, be sure to provide a copy of your registration confirmation to attend the conference.

What are the attendance policies for the Summit?

Guidelines for Dialogue: The SeaWeb Seafood Summit strives to create a neutral, inclusive and safe environment for all participants at the conference. We ask you to respect each other’s opinions and appreciate that they may differ from yours. Please use this opportunity to learn from each other and understand your different perspectives to enhance your own work and inform your sector. We would ask you to adhere to the different guidelines below in order to stay true to the ethos of the Summit.
– We must be tough on the problem, not on each other
– Seek solutions, not blame
– Share the floor
– One person speaks at a time
– We respect each other’s’ views, even if we don’t agree with them
– Phones quiet in sessions
– Introduce yourself when you speak
– Speak clearly addressing the whole room
– Comments and questions must be kept succinct and direct

Age Requirement: This event is open to trade professionals only. Due to liability restrictions, no one under the age of 18 will be granted admittance at any time. There will be no exceptions.

Registrants grant SeaWeb and Diversified Communications permission to display registrant’s company name on websites and in other collateral material. Registrants agree to be photographed and /or videotaped for use in promotions for SeaWeb and Diversified Communications events. Registrant understands that the conference sessions are valuable property copyrighted by Diversified Communications and agrees not to make audio or video recordings of them without prior written consent of SeaWeb or Diversified Communications.

This conference is produced by SeaWeb and Diversified Communications, which reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to limit or deny access to the conference to any entity or individual. Diversified Communications’ receipt of an application and payment does not constitute acceptance until some form of acknowledgement or acceptance is sent (e.g., your confirmation email); applications and payments that are not accepted will be returned within 30 days of receipt.

By registering for attendance at and/or participation in the SeaWeb Seafood Summit, I do hereby acknowledge and agree to the following:

1). I am registering to attend the SeaWeb Seafood Summit using my true name and I have fully and accurately identified my associations and affiliations relevant to my interest in attending the conference.
2). I acknowledge that I understand that the purpose of the SeaWeb Seafood Summit is to convene global leaders with valuable contributions to advance the debate on sustainability in the seas – including business, international organizations, government, NGOs, academia and media, and I agree that, while attending the conference, I shall not engage in any activities or conduct that may directly or indirectly:
a. Promote or advertise any idea or product which is inconsistent with the above stated purpose of the conference;
b. Promote the limitation of or discourage the use, distribution, development or marketing of any seafood product or related equipment or services;
c. Object to, demonstrate against, or negatively target the products, business practices or business methods of any participant or the seafood industry generally; or
d. Disrupt the orderly operation, business or purpose of the SeaWeb Seafood Summit or any speaker, presentation, or associated event.
e. Engage in any activity which could be construed as the solicitation of products and services
3). I agree to abide by and follow any rules and regulations of the organizers of the SeaWeb Seafood Summit
4). I understand and agree that the organizers of the SeaWeb Seafood Summit reserve the right to:
a. Refuse to register or to deny admission by any attendee whose reasons for attending and/or participating in the SeaWeb Seafood Summit are not consistent with the purposes of this conference; and
b. Deny admission to the conference or associated events by, or to remove any attendee, whose conduct or actions, as determined by the organizers in their sole discretion, detracts from the general character of the conference as a whole, disrupts the orderly operation and business of the conference, or is inconsistent with the purposes of the conference. The right to deny admission to and/or remove attendees from the conference or associated events includes, but is not limited to, instances in which attendees may be dressed in a sexually aggressive or offensive manner, or are engaged in conduct, including the distribution of any form of printed or other materials, of a character which the organizers, in their sole discretion, determine to be objectionable.

For conference attendees also attending Field Trips and Special Events off-site: I acknowledge and agree that I knowingly assume any and all risks of injury in any way connected or associated with my participation in said Site Visit. I acknowledge that my participation in the Site Visit is completely voluntary. For myself, my personal representatives, heirs and assigns, I hereby waive, and agree to release, SeaWeb and/or Diversified Business Communications, its affiliated and subsidiary corporations, and each of their employees, agents, directors, and officers from any claim arising out of my participation in said Site Visit. I further agree to defend, indemnify, and hold each of them harmless from and against any claims, damages, causes of action, liability, or costs (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) which may arise as a direct or indirect result of my participation in said Site Visit, whether or not such claim or liability may have resulted from the acts or omissions (including negligent acts or omissions) of any such companies or persons.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellation Policy:

A full refund of registration fees will be provided if cancellation is received and acknowledged by December 15, 2016, midnight Eastern Standard Time. A 50% refund of registration fees will be provided if cancellation is received and acknowledged by April 13, 2017, midnight Eastern Standard Time. No refunds for cancellations will be processed after April 13, 2017. Registration substitutions are allowed. Cancellation fees do not apply to substitutions.

Substitutions may be made at any time up to the start of the conference. All notices of cancellation and/or substitutions must be in writing. Non-attendance will incur the full conference fee.

All payments must be made prior to attending the conference. If paying by Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover: SeaWeb Seafood Summit is the company name which will appear on your credit card billing statement.

Where do I get my badge?

Badges will not be mailed in advance of the conference. You can pick up your badge at the registration desk.
